Community supported agriculture

Burch Farms originated in 1779 by Elliot Burch. The legacy of Burch Farms continues into its seventh generation. Here on the farm, we primarily raise apples, grapes and peaches. We have established partnerships with other local farmers that raise produce we do not raise ourselves. These partners help us deliver the freshest and most nutritious produce in Erie County.

CSA stand for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a group of paid members cooperating with a farmer by purchasing a membership in the farmer’s program for a defined production period. This helps the farmer plan for how much produce is needed on a weekly basis.

— Our plans offer 20% reduction in price as compared to our retail prices.
— Guarantees the freshest, most nutritious produce for 15 weeks.

Terms and Conditions

What is CSA? CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a group of paid members co-operating with a farmer by purchasing a membership in the Farmers program for a defined production period. This helps the farmer plan for how much produce is needed on a weekly basis. It also guarantees the member will receive the freshest, most nutritious produce at a 20% reduction in price as compared to our retail price.

Reasonable Expectations the growing season ahead of us is totally unpredictable. As a shareholder you are guaranteed a box of whatever produce and/or other items Burch Farms decides to share with you. Every week the volume in your box will be different. In June there are not a lot of crops harvested. By August there are numerous crops and in September some larger items may not fit in your box.

Comments and suggestions are always welcome

Crop Failure: Mother nature may serve up unfavorable weather conditions that may result in no production at all of a certain crop. Never fear we will make a substitution when necessary.

Membership Cancellation There is NO CANCELLATION and NO REFUNDS. A membership can be transferred to another person only if there exists an extenuating circumstance.

Container Every week your produce will be in a cardboard box.

Pickup Locations Burch Farms Country Market, Burch Farms Satellite Locations or places of business that
have a minimum of 10 memberships.

Liability Clause Each member understands and agrees that farming does not always produce expected results in all farming areas. This means that, as a member, I may not receive as large of a quantity of a particular item as expected, the quality may not be entirely as expected, but the item will be very full and nutritious. There may be unexpected failures of a vegetable or fruit crop, frost may result, reducing yield and quality. If any of these uncontrollable conditions occur, Burch Farms cannot be held responsible or liable. Each member also understands and agrees that membership cancellations are non-refundable.
